This is the camera part. Just below the table lamp the taking lens can be seen.
A slowly rotating coloured drum and a disc with coloured dots is acting as an
object.

This is the monitor (left) -camera (right). One disc is used to perform both
functions at the same time. Thus synchronisation problems are avoided.

This is the monitor side. We can see that colour filters are glued over the
apertures of the Nipkow disc. Also the LED driver circuits can be seen. An old
slide viewer is used as a viewing lens. The light sensitive part of the camera
is mounted inside the black plastic box.
